Saint John's Island is located to the south of the main island of Republic of Singapore 新加坡共和国 Republik Singapura சிங்கப்பூர் குடியரசு (Flag) (Coat of Arms) National motto: Majulah Singapura (English: Onward, Singapore) Official languages English, Mandarin Chinese, Malay, Tamil Capital... Saint John's Island formerly houses a quarantine station for leprosy cases detected among immigrants, a penal settlement and a drug rehabilitation centre.
