The Crown is a death/thrash metal band from Trollhättan, Sweden. Originally, they used the name Crown of Thorns but were forced to change their name due to a band of the same name. Their music and lyrics are inspired by death, anti-religion themes (mostly targeting christianity) and rebellion. Their great ability to fuse death metal with thrash influences is considered unmatched my many. Albums including The Burning, Eternal Death, and Hell Is Here which reflects their highest points of musicianship, with rhythms that are very fast and powerful. They're well known for their amazing lead guitar soloing. The Crown disbanded in 2004.
