The Witch King of Angmar is a fictional character from J. R. R. Tolkien's universe, Middle-earth. He was once a great king of men but he was corrupted by one of the nine rings of power given to men. He is the greatest of the nine ring wraths and the one who stabs Frodo. He lives in Minas Morgol and commands Sauron's armies in the battle of Pellenor Fields where he is killed by Eowyn. He was the first enemy to enter the gates of Minas Tirith since the cities inception and there he faces of against Gandalf, who is stalling to give the Rohirrim time to reach the battle.
