Since 2009, Iran CO2 Emissions Intensity increased 2.2% year on year. With 0.49 Kilograms Per USD of GDP in 2014, the country was ranked number 16 among other countries in CO2 Emissions Intensity. Iran is overtaken by Kyrgyzstan, which was number 15 with 0.52 Kilograms Per USD of GDP and is followed by Russia at 0.46 Kilograms Per USD of GDP. Trinidad and Tobago ranked the highest with 1.09 Kilograms Per USD of GDP in 2014, an increase of 0.3% versus 2013. Palau, Turkmenistan and South Africa respectively ranked number 2, 3 and 4 in this ranking. East Timor witnessed the best average annual growth at +22.1% per year, while Nauru witnessed the worst performance at -19.5% per year.
