Kazakhstan is overtaken by Ukraine, which was ranked number 3 at 1,061.14 Metric Tons of CO2 Equivalent and is followed by Japan with 33.15 Metric Tons of CO2 Equivalent. United States topped the ranking with 7,023.56 Metric Tons of CO2 Equivalent in 2019, an increase of 0.6% versus 2018. Kazakhstan witnessed the best average annual growth at +1.1% per year, while Ukraine witnessed the worst performance at -1.2% per year.
