Since 2014, Sri Lanka Gender Parity Index for Gross Enrollment Ratio in Tertiary Education increased 2.3% year on year. In 2019, the country was ranked number 20 among other countries in Gender Parity Index for Gross Enrollment Ratio in Tertiary Education with 1.38 Indexes. Sri Lanka is overtaken by Palestine, which was ranked number 19 at 1.39 Indexes and is followed by Sweden with 1.37 Indexes. Qatar topped the ranking with 1.87 Indexes in 2019, that is -0.1% compared to 2018. Maldives, Seychelles and Saint Lucia respectively ranked number 2, 3 and 4 in this ranking.
