Turkey is overtaken by South Africa, which was ranked number 11 at 59.37 Thousand Metric Tons of CO2 Equivalent and is followed by Japan with 19.15 Thousand Metric Tons of CO2 Equivalent. China lead the ranking with 1,588.99 Thousand Metric Tons of CO2 Equivalent in 2019, that is +1.4% compared to 2018. India, Brazil and Indonesia respectively ranked number 2, 3 and 4 in this ranking. Cyprus recorded the best 5 years average growth at +16.4% per year, while Spain recorded the worst performance at -14.5% per year.
