In 2018, the country was ranked number 10 among other countries in Total Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Land Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry with 2,644.28 Thousand Metric Tons of CO2 Equivalent. Ukraine is overtaken by Ireland, which was number 9 with 4,434.87 Thousand Metric Tons of CO2 Equivalent and is followed by Latvia at 1,417.54 Thousand Metric Tons of CO2 Equivalent. Indonesia topped the ranking with 1,352,288.35 Thousand Metric Tons of CO2 Equivalent in 2019, an increase of 1.1% versus 2018. Brazil, India and Iceland respectively ranked number 2, 3 and 4 in this ranking. Denmark recorded the best 5 years average growth at +28% per year, while Luxembourg witnessed the worst performance at -17.5% per year.
