- Cigarettes per adult per year: This list compares the average annual consumption of cigarettes per adult in countries around the world. Ten european countries top the list, all located at the East of the continent, with the exception of Greece. Developed asian countries like China, South Korea and Japan also register high cigarette consumption, while Africa hosts the countries with less consumption.
- Pack of 20 cigarettes price: This stat compares the price of a standard pack of 20 cigarrettes, expressed in euros. Prices were compiled from 2012 to 2014. The estimate cigarette consumption -measured in annual cigarettes per adult/year- in the country with the cheapest prices in this list (Indonesia) is roughly double of that in the country with the most expensive tobacco (Norway).
- Pack of 20 cigarettes price (USD): This stat compares the price of a standard pack of 20 cigarrettes, expressed in USD. The estimate cigarette consumption - measured in annual cigarettes per adult/year - in the country with the cheapest prices in this list (Indonesia) is roughly double of that in the country with the most expensive tobacco (Norway).
