8th February 2005 		Disasters happen, and have done so for ages. They will continue for the next ages to be. I agree with Roland, that the earth has been moving with techtonic plates causing earthquakes and the earth is flowing with lava causing volcanic action. The planet earth is changing every single moment, and will do so for eternity or until something causes it to blow its self (which I doubt) up or some large solar impact plows into it. It would take something less the size of its own moon to completely destroy it. Then if it has any stability at all, it would repair itself---taking millions of years. But would it become a Mars, with but minute bits of life. Yes, the planet is growing with too many people and emissions of gases created by man. Something has to give, and my short novel should be exhausted. Man may destroy themselves, but beyond anything else---the earth will likely continue.

30th December 2004 		The military junta in charge of Burma is notoriously reluctant to release data about casualties following disasters. Hence,a true picture of the Burmese death toll is not yet available.(Reuters)
