We would be lucky if Turkey really has %13,2 rate, but in this country two fascist parties (MHP+BBP) takes around %20 of votes; very nationalist party CHP (which calls itself as "social democrat" but about ethnic problems (Kurdish struggle, relations with Armenia, Cyprus ets.)more fascist then the other fascist parties takes another %20, and most of the rest is right wing votes. Actually apart from beautiful Kurdish people, the rest of the counry very very nationalist and sometimes racism is a "common" attitude in here (like the other post-empire nations).

"necessary to be careful of post-communist fascists like pinochet"

You are clearly misunderstanding the time and place in which Pinochet lead the country. He was elected into power by the people of Chile with a majority and stepped down from the presidency when the majority decided. At times Marxist forget to look at the other power in the Cold War.

It's hard to compare. What is considered right in Europe, is considered far left in the US. And what is considered far left in Europe, is considered far right in communistic countries.

It's time for a revolution towards freedom in viet-nam but it is necessary to be careful of post-communist fascists like pinochet.

This is not true. Austria is actually no. 1 and Germany is probably around no. 5. Due to a lingering element of shame over Nazism, people are reluctant to admit to being as right-wing as they actually are.

The political systems in western nations are categorised along a left-right spectrum. Characteristics of right wing politics include:

  • A capitalist economy
  • Liberty has a higher value than equality.
  • Economic liberty is a priority.
  • Government intervention in moral issues.
  • Emphasis on fair processes
  • Individual responsibility

This statistic from the World Values Survey states the percentage of people who described themselves as far-right. Self placement would be influenced by the meaning of the terms political left and right within the context of each country surveyed.
