Malaysia and Singapore are part of the Commonwealth of Nations, formerly the British commonwealth. This lead to vehicles being RHD and they drive on the left side of the road. Some vehicles in Malaysia may be LHD and the reason may be like here in Australia where LHD vehicles are usually privately imported from other countries that drive on the right side of the road. Sometimes these are converted to LHD if possible or desired. Hope this helps |

Vehicles in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia have steering wheels on the right side of the car and we drive on the same side of the road as the British - ie left side. |

In response to the inquisitor on Singaporean and Malaysian driving orientations, the information on this website is accurate. The confusion here is with reference to which side the car is driven on not on the position of the driver's seat. |

To my knowledge of having travelled Malaysia, I never encountered any left-side driving. Singapore neither. I should like to know from where you derive your facts. |
