I refuse to believe that the people of Malta have such high mortality rates in such a broad range of types of deaths and diseases. Could it be that it has high levels of reporting? For a country with high living standards, high longevity stats and high rates of contentment, it seems paradoxical that Malta has such high mortality rates. |

Hi Chris, these are 'bottom rankings'! Malta has the LOWEST -- going up to the SIXTH LOWEST -- mortality rates for all the diseases listed here! Your pride in Malta is totally justified! |
