In contrast to the wheat production stats - which excluded Russia, a major producer - where USDA figures were at variance with UNFAO, these soybean stats closely follow the UN's when accounting for date. Still the USDA figures are 7 years old, while the UN's are 3 years old. Figures as old as the USDA's are simply not of much use, and there are more recent stats available. So I'm wondering at the value of these. I appreciate the effort here, but the execution concerns me.
