Those crime rates must be a reflection of the quaility of reporting and transparency of governments and institutions of developed countries versus 3rd world countries such as South Africa and India, where other websites show the crime rates and types of crime are out of control.

Somethings is wrong here South Africa not on this list? All i have ever heard is that SA has the highest crime rate in the world. I dont think this list is correct! When was the last time it was updated???

Oy - surely South Africa should be on this list? We do crime as well as we do rugby... these stats look really dodgy to me as Oz is winning and New Zealand, Sweden and Denmark feature and we don't!

One must drop there preconceptions when dealing with Facts. Beginning with the Myth that America has the most crime in the world. France does have a higher crime rate than post people think. Due to slew of immigration from 3rd world countries and an unarmed population. Facts are facts. There are slums and ghettoes in France and areas that law-enforcement have deemed no-go-zones. This is reality live with it.
