In response to Anthony: - Nicaragua is a republic. The head of state is President Enrique BOLANOS Geyer and the Vice President is Jose RIZO Castellon. Both the president and the vice-president are elected for a five year term by the people. For more government information including administrative divisions, political parties and constitution see the government page of the Nicaragua profile.
