Umm... waste management in the United States is calculated in tons/year. and tons is calculated from pounds. So the units are not obvious. AT ALL!

What year are these data from?

Is it really that difficult to know what the uint is????
If you know anything about waste management you would know that the unit is Kg/person/year !!!!!!!

The lack of units makes this graph worthless.

This link provides more meaningful data (including units and waste over time), however it's in a table - if you want a graph you'll have to make you own!

From the data in the above document, it looks as though the units are kg/capita - although the actual figures don't make that much that sense!

People should really learn to save the environment by cutting down on the amount of waste they generate. In the spirit of good governance in waste management, the state/governments should support the idea of supplying waste bins to the citizenry in order to espouse the appropriate on premises waste management(waste management at source.)
