SOURCES: Thousands of asylum seekers coming into a nation in 2001.; Total number of asylum seekers between the years 1980 and 1989.; % of asylum seekers accepted between the years 1980 and 1989.; % of asylum seekers accepted between the years 1990 and 1999.; Foreign population as % of total population; data for 2000; Inflows of foreign population into selected OECD countries in 2000. Data from population registers are not fully comparable because the criteria governing who gets registered differ from country to country. Counts for the Netherlands, Norway and especially Germany include substantial numbers of asylum seekers. An excess of persons entering the country is referred to as net immigration (e.g., 3.56 migrants/1,000 population); an excess of persons leaving the country as net emigration (e.g., -9.26 migrants/1,000 population). For more details on sources, refer to the notes at the end of the OECD Annex.; Refugees (number in each country, 1990-99); Date of ratification of the United Nations Convention relating to the Status of Refugees. I think that you should give a range of decades(1850-1950) so that people wanting to know about immigration of old Italy they would know.

I would like to know the history of the Italian people who immigrate in Montreal in the 1950's. Mostly the people from Cosenza Italy. What was the name of the boats who brought them in Canada. All you can tell me about that would be appreciate. I am looking for my family.
