rbias 10th May 2011	It could possibly be because of migration to the region. If other regions suffer catastrophes either man made or environmental.

elizabeth 23rd October 2010	The 80+ statistic includes more years aggregated together. It would include people who are anywhere from 80-110 years old. So even if not that many people live to be 100 years old they would be in the category of people over 80. The category 70-74 on the other hand has less years feeding into it as it is a more specific age range.
ConfusedinHaslemere 15th May 2010	I don't understand how there can be more 80+ year olds in the 2020 prediction, than there are 70-74 year olds at present. I mean, in 10 years, you're saying you've grown old people??? Surely the 80+ year olds in the 2020 prediction pyramid should be equal or less than the 70-74 year olds in the 2010 one?
