COMMENTARY

Alan Thomason 12th April 2011	It would be useful to subdivide the eighty plus category into more five year groups to recognise higher life expectancy and remove the anomalous shape of the distribution. Otherwise just place the cut off at seventy and describe all those above as a drain on the economy.
