DEFINITION
Adult mortality rate is the probability of dying between the ages of 15 and 60--that is, the probability of a 15-year-old dying before reaching age 60, if subject to current age-specific mortality rates between those ages.
Mortality Statistics > rate, adult, male > per 1,000 male adults (1992) by country
DEFINITION: Adult mortality rate is the probability of dying between the ages of 15 and 60--that is, the probability of a 15-year-old dying before reaching age 60, if subject to current age-specific mortality rates between those ages.
NOTES: These statistics are derived from official causes of death detailed on certificates of death by each country. Rather than being a true indicator of the number of deaths attributed to a particular cause, mortality statistics reveal more about a particular country's reporting processes.
Kathy, I could not agree with you more. I think you hit the nail on the head especially in your last statement but I think too many men will be too "macho" to admit it. Most of us women already know it.

More interesting stats. When we compare the average of both males and women, we will find 60 more males die per 1,000 than women do yet the birth rate shows 105 males for each female and this is getting lower. In one area, there are three girls being born for each male. How much more proof is needed to show the human male is very fragil and that women are the strongest and actually since we are stronger in so many areas, we are the superior gender?
