China Obesity Stats
Definitions
- Female obesity rate: Percentage of females older than 14 who are obese, meaning their Body Mass Index (BMI) exceeds 30.
- Male obesity rate: Percentage of males older than 14 who are obese, meaning their Body Mass Index (BMI) exceeds 30.
- Obesity rate (men): Percentage of males aged over 15 years who are obese. The World Health Organization defines obesity as a body mass index over 30. The average BMI is 18.5 to 24.9.
- Obesity rate (women): Percentage of females aged over 15 years who are obese. The World Health Organization defines obesity as a body mass index over 30. The average BMI is 18.5 to 24.9.
