Definitions
- Heart: The number of heart transplants in the nation in 2002. (If the surveyed year is different, it is given in brackets).
- Heart per million: The number of heart transplants in the nation in 2002. (If the surveyed year is different, it is given in brackets). Figures expressed per million population for the same year.
- Kidney: The number of kidney transplants in the nation in 2002. (If the surveyed year is different, it is given in brackets).
- Kidney per million: The number of kidney transplants in the nation in 2002. (If the surveyed year is different, it is given in brackets). Figures expressed per million population for the same year.
- Total: The total of our statistics for kidney, liver, pancreas, kidney-pancreas, heart, lung, heart-lung and intestine transplants. Note that, in some cases, the figures for each individual organ type were taken in different years (either 2000, 2001, or 2002). Thus these totals are suggestive but not conclusive.
- Total per million: The total of our statistics for kidney, liver, pancreas, kidney-pancreas, heart, lung, heart-lung and intestine transplants.
