21st February 2005 		Hi Darshan, The UN estimates are that India will have a population of 1.9 billion by 2015, at which time it will attain replacement levels in population growth. India's Population Commission has estimated that the country's population will be just under 1.2 billion by 2011. These are projections based on the current fertility rate .
