- Collective Political Violence in the 1990's combined: Three classifications of states for further comparative analysis: states experiencing collective political violence with excessive targeting of civilians (CPVCIV), states experiencing political violence without excessive targeting of civilians (CPVNOCIV), and states without collective political violence.
