Definitions

  • Arab population: Arab population in each country. France is the only European country with over 1 million Arabs.
  • Canadians: Amount of naturalized Canadians or Canadian citizens living in each country as of 2014.
  • Centres of Iraqi population: Cities or regions in which most of each country’s Iraqi population (including refugees) is located.
  • German ancestry: Residents who claim German ancestry. Estimates are based on national censuses.
  • Iraqis: Number of Iraqi residents (includes refugees).
  • Jewish > Percent Jewish: Percentage of population that is Jewish.
  • Jews > Core Jewish population: Jewish population by country. The core Jewish community comprises only Jews.
  • Jews > Core Jewish population per thousand people: Jewish population by country. The core Jewish community comprises only Jews. Figures expressed per thousand people for the same year.
  • Jews > Enlarged Jewish population:

    Jewish population by country. The enlarged Jewish community includes Jews, non-Jews with Jewish ancestry and non-Jewish members of Jewish households.   

  • Jews > Enlarged Jewish population per thousand people:

    Jewish population by country. The enlarged Jewish community includes Jews, non-Jews with Jewish ancestry and non-Jewish members of Jewish households.
