President Sebasti\u00e1n Pi\u00f1era celebrated the death of bin Laden, saying he spoke with President Obama to express his satisfaction with the operation. He said he was "glad that the whole world learned that, though late, justice arrives, and that crimes committed against innocent people around the world will not go unpunished". Foreign Minister Alfredo Moreno hailed the death of bin Laden as "a very important advancement in the war against terrorism".
