Bird Flu > H5N1 > Recent animal cases Seven wild ducks were found dead on 13 February 2006 in Joyeux. Samples were taken from three of them. Two cases affecting 16,000 poultry have been confirmed in the province of Matebeleland. Both cases have involved ostrich stock. To date, no chickens have tested positive and antibodies have only been recorded in two ostrich farms, Dollar Block and Mimosa, in Matabeleland North Province.
