Gender Parity Index refers to the availability an access to education for individuals of both sexes. A figure above 1.0 will indicate that females have a greater opportunity for receiving education based on a nationally approved curricula. Values below 1.0 will have a bias favouring males.
In this case the measure is conducted at the entry level of education referred to as primary education of elementary education.
Values closes to the value of 1.00000000 are the closest to parity.
